Working as part of the marketing team to ensure the smooth and effective running of marketing campaigns addressing three target audiences (commissioners, parents/careers/individuals and fundraisers) through multiple communication channels.
The purpose is to increase the awareness of the work of the Society and support the marketing team and senior management team in reaching targets in terms of referrals and revenue.
Responsibilities
1. Support the marketing team to create high impact and engaging content for online and offline platforms and publications.
2. Specific activities include:
* Produce compelling case studies relevant to NEAS education, care and employment services from telephone interviews to compiling written content.
* Develop, write, and edit marketing content to support campaign/project needs including: brochure copy, promotional campaigns, events, project profiles, blogs, technical content, and articles.
* Write web copy for biographies, products and services descriptions, testimonials and other related promotional content.
* Support the family development team to produce information packs and how-to guides as ‘free downloads’ for parents/carers.
* Write copy for promotional material such as service brochures, information leaflets, event posters and flyers.
* Research and lead on the creation of authoritative e-books and white papers contributed to by NEAS staff and external partners.
* Respond to inquiries from journalists and brief them about the Society.
* Advise senior staff members on written responses to the media, proof-read and if necessary, write media statements, proactively identify news stories, opportunities for coverage, ideas for features and comment pieces.
* Help to implement a PR plan for new services, events and initiatives.
* Co-ordinate, edit and draft copy for the monthly e-newsletter 'The Loop' that covers news and events relating to the Society.
* Help with the organisation of webinars and expert Q&A panel discussions with NEAS staff and professionals.
1. Ensure all content is of high editorial quality, consistent with brand and style guidelines, accessible for online users.
2. Proofread content submitted by colleagues to ensure that it is grammatically correct and adheres to website and brand guidelines before publishing.
3. Contribute to planning, scheduling and promotion of content based on organisational priorities and campaigns.
4. Attend monthly meetings as part of the editorial team. Responsible for writing and editing the monthly staff 'Connect' e-newsletter (including drafting a message from the chief executive).
5. Seek out research and training on content marketing best practices, trends, and opportunities.
6. Any other relevant tasks as directed by the line manager, in accordance with the needs of the organisation.
