My client, a leading UK Higher Education Institute, is looking for a Head of Property / Estates Manager for an initial 12-month contract. You will be leading the property team during a period of transition, and any previous experience of working on large transformative projects is highly desirable. You will be responsible for providing leadership and direction in the management and maintenance of the University's estate. You must have experience in developing and implementing property strategies that align with the objectives of the client. Ideally, you will have previous experience in maximizing the utilization of a property portfolio to offer a cost benefit. You must have experience in a senior property/asset management role, ideally within the Higher Education sector, though this is not essential. This role requires somebody with good stakeholder management skills, as well as strong leadership and team management skills.
In addition, you must have:
1. Good knowledge of property management principles/regulations.
2. Proven experience of developing and implementing strategic plans.
3. Good experience with budget management.
4. MRICS/MCIOB or other relevant property qualifications are desirable.
