If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy managing people, we want to hear from you Position Overview As the Warehouse Supervisor on the PM shift, you will oversee daily warehouse activities, ensure smooth workflow, manage the warehouse team, and maintain a high level of productivity and safety. This is a hands-on supervisory role requiring excellent leadership and organisational skills. Location: South Luffenham, Rutland Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 14:00 - 22:00 Key Responsibilities Supervise, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates and material handlers during the PM shift. Ensure all orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and efficiently. Record and communicate service levels, including non-conformances on a weekly basis, ensuring that corrective and preventative measures are quickly implemented to ensure that target levels are maintained. Ensure full stock integrity, including labelling pre-picked orders, fully recording cross-dock order data, processing of returns and cancelled orders within 48 hours. Maintain and enforce safety protocols, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards. Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet trucks. Ensure that operational team comply with all company rules, including operational standards and requirements, BRCGS & ISO requirements, housekeeping levels, periodic checks, security, H&S requirements and that all company HR policies are followed and upheld Track and report key performance metrics (e.g., productivity, error rates, etc.). Address and resolve any personnel issues in a timely manner. Conduct shift meetings, safety briefings, and regular performance evaluations. Qualifications 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and stock control. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Forklift certification is desirable but not essential. Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment. Ability to work the PM shift and occasional weekends or overtime as needed.
