Let us tell you a bit about the opportunity This role is responsible for the daily and monthly monitoring of bank accounts, investigating transactions, and providing feedback to several stakeholders across the finance and operation teams as part of a small team; daily reconciliation of bank transactions, preparations and posting of journal entries and performing monthly accounts reconciliations across Aldermore and MotoNovo; improving and automating existing processes, including making improvements to the reconciliation tool Autorek. Evolution of Autorek will be an ongoing project and a key part of the role as we attempt to move away from preparing all the recs in excel. Additionally, there will be opportunities to work on automating other processes with the use of power query, macros and coding. What will your day look like? Operating across different business lines/teams Reconciliation activity: bank recs, suspense, cash books Liaising with operational teams to resolve issues Month end support – reviewing and posting journals Process improvements / Assist in automation of processes Understanding SQL queries & power pivot queries Supporting ad-hoc projects Supporting the Autorek project What do we expect from you?
