The role:
Manages process improvement initiatives and establish governance frameworks to support strategic decision-making, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver value to the organisation.
* Owns and maintains governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance, accountability, and transparency in decision-making processes
* Analyses existing processes in Arqiva to identify weaknesses, inefficiencies, and improvements to the governance
* Leads process improvement initiatives to streamline delivery in the Enablement team, eliminate waste, and drive efficiency gains across the organisation
* Plans and manages performance of process and governance team within the VMO
* Coaches the Process and Governance Coordinator
* Collects data for quality analysis from various sources (process observations, stakeholder feedback)
* Validates data and tasks to ensure accuracy and completeness of quality control records
* Analyses quality control data to identify trends and potential issues, and implements corrective actions
* Plans quality assurance and testing activities
* Prepares reports and maintains quality control activity records
* Monitors quality KPIs and flags compliance issues and practices that deviate from standards
The person:
* Proficiency in process improvement methodologies, to identify inefficiencies, streamline processes, and drive operational excellence
* Understanding of governance principles and practices to establish governance frameworks, policies, and procedures that ensure compliance, accountability, and transparency
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and foster buy-in for process improvement and governance initiatives
* Process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
* Excellent analytical skills to analyse relevant data against performance indicators, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities to improve
* Strong problem-solving skills to evaluate issues and collaborate with wider quality team to develop solutions
* Effective communication and reporting skills to communicate audit findings, insights and recommendations to stakeholders
* Good understanding of quality management principles and methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma)
* Understanding of relevant regulatory requirements, standards, and industry regulations related to process quality
* Experience in process mapping and documentation to capture current state processes, identify pain points, and develop improvement opportunities
* Knowledge of governance best practices, standards, and frameworks, such as COBIT or ITIL, to establish effective governance mechanisms aligned with organisational objectives
* Understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to the industry, such as data protection regulations or industry-specific standards, to ensure compliance within governance frameworks
* Competency in project management principles and practices to plan, execute, and monitor process improvement and governance initiatives effectively
* Familiarity with risk management principles and practices to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with process changes and governance structures
