Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a General Service Assistant in their Workplace sector to be a part of our integral team at Aegon, Edinburgh, EH12 9SE
As a General Catering Assistant, you will mainly be working within the back of house areas (Kitchen). You will support day-to-day operations by covering areas of deliveries, laundry, kitchen porterage along with supporting the Chefs and Front of House Teams.

You must be eligible to work in the UK and have resided in-country for more than 3 years. Security checks are required for this role.

* We are offering a full time, permanent position. You will be working 35 hours, over a variety of 5 days (Monday through Friday with no evening or weekend working. Shift times range from 6.30am – 4.00pm. The hourly rate is £12.00

A day in the life of a General Service Assistant
* Accepting, checking and signing of deliveries, the decanting of deliveries to designated areas following FIFO principals.
* Identifying all shortages or issues within a delivery and feeding the detail back into the senior management team.
* Completing, checking and signing of ALL daily paperwork.
* The use of cleaning machinery, cleaning of all storage areas.
* Supporting the Kitchen Porters and when necessary, the Chefs and Front of House Teams within their daily tasks.
* The counting, labelling and packing of soiled uniforms for pick up and the receipt of clean laundry which would be decanted into the appropriate Team Members named area.
* You will provide excellent customer service and report to the Executive Chef on site.
You will be set up for success if you have:
* For this role you must be 18+
* Must have eligibility to work in the UK and have resided for longer than 3 years. Security checks are required for this role
* Must have reliable transport due to the location of the site and limited public transport.
