Are you looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to be creative? We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and ambitious qualified Social Workers to join the Children in Care Team, South. We have 2 new posts working alongside an established team supporting children/young people seeking asylum.
Join us at Lincolnshire County Council in our vision of "Putting Children First". You will have the support, time and resources you need to develop your Social Work career and to develop the services we provide to this particular group of children and young people.
Our Children's Services is rated by Ofsted as Outstanding. This is an incredible achievement and something all of us are extremely proud of as it reflects the quality of social work practice we deliver to children and young people.
The children and families that we work with face a range of challenges. This role will give you the opportunity to work with children/young people who have travelled to the UK with no parental support.
Our Social Workers work with partners, other agencies, and schools/colleges in local authorities across the country to help improve the outcomes of children's lives. Our practice model is Signs of Safety and this is underpinned by a commitment to restorative practice, meaning that you will be practicing in a way where the strengths of the child/young person and their network are honoured.
As an experienced level 1 or level 2 Social Worker working in the Children in Care team, you will use your skills, knowledge, and experience to manage a range of cases and to be involved in assessments and ongoing interventions, leading on these from start to finish, meaning children/young people have consistency of Social Workers. You will work closely with other stakeholders to build a brighter future for the children who need our help.
We understand that being a Social Worker can be a challenging, often emotional but also a very rewarding career. This is why you will be surrounded by a supportive, caring and compassionate team. You'll co-work more complex caseloads alongside more experienced Social Workers, helping you make the right decisions when it matters most. You will receive monthly formal professional and case supervision; take part in monthly group learning and also participate in monthly team meetings. You will also have the opportunity to complete a fully funded PQ module. Your continued professional development will be as important to us as it is to you, and your learning and development will remain in focus throughout the year, not just during your annual appraisal. Our offer of complimentary access to the Research in Practice online platform further demonstrates this.
We would love to offer you the opportunity to hear more about why working in one of our teams should be the next step in your career. Please contact Joanne.Stares@lincolnshire.gov.uk for more information about these posts.
Take your next step with us today and use your skills where they matter most.
