Position: Full time Temporary Tribunal Clerk
Contract: 3 months with the possibility of extending
Working Hours: Mon-Fri, office hours (37 per week)
Hourly Rate: £11.59
Job Description:
* Dealing with members of the public both on the telephone or in person at a hearing.
* Processing all types of correspondence received manually or electronically in accordance with current guidance.
* Updating appeals on the database accurately, and in a timely manner. Interaction with other government departments and salaried/fee-paid Judges/Members.
* Clerk tribunal hearings in Manchester and other local areas as required; expenses will be reimbursed.
* Provide a professional service to the Judiciary and Customers who attend for their hearings.
* Meet and greet Judicial panel members, Customers, and Representatives.
* Ensure hearings are managed on time and in line with the guidance for clerking, including the recording of the hearing.
* Update the database with outcomes and produce Decision Notices on the day.
* Ensure First Tier Agencies are notified of the Decisions.
* Deal with Customer queries that may arise on the day and ensure they understand the hearing process.
Requirements:
* Strong customer service skills and confidence dealing with the general public.
* Strong administrative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Teams.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Location is accessible by bus, train, or car.
