Head of Product - Cheltenham/Stevenage/Nationwide - ARD1066819
As part of our plans to evolve and grow our business we are now looking for a Head of Product within our Direct Business area.
As Head of Product, you will be responsible for the distribution, performance and development of your assigned Product/s. You will drive the strategic direction of the proposition and support the Trading Director in the delivery of the P&L budget delivery against income and expenditure targets.
The role involves analysing market size, trends and customer behaviour to support the development of existing products and to oversee the launch, implementation and administration of new ones and collaborating with cross-functional teams including Underwriting, Marketing, Digital, Operations and the Contact Centre.
This role is hybrid and the candidate will be in the office 2-3 days a week ideally but this can be flexible.
Some of the responsibilities of this role include;
* Develop and execute the overall product strategy for the business, aligning it with the business segment’s goals and market trends
* Conduct regular analysis of product performance, including income, profitability, customer retention, market-share, loss ratios and make data-driven recommendation for product enhancements
* Oversee Product performance vs company targets
* Development of a robust sales plans to achieve new business and retention targets, ensuring there is sufficient lead volume, and the proposition has multi-dimensional distribution channels
* Review on an ongoing basis, suitability of our products in line with the market and competition, driving enhancements to existing propositions and recommendations for new product launches
* Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues across the platform, maintaining effective communication and influence to make ensure the business strategy is delivered within the business
* Understanding the internal and external networks and building lasting relationships with colleagues, clients, insurers and suppliers
* Ensure your product offering has adequate systems and controls in place to manage the risks to the firm and to comply with the firm’s obligations under the Ardonagh Accountability Framework.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues across the platform, maintaining effective communication and influence to make ensure the business strategy is delivered within the business
* Work in synergy with others to produce the optimum results for Towergate and the wider business. Including strategic long-term thinking on all Trading aspects
What we are looking for
* You will have experience of working in the Insurance experience and experience of managing insurance products
* A well organised individual with core skills in time management, organisation, prioritisation, and an ability to manage multiple issues and challenges at any given moment
* Strong commercial leader with a commercial focus and adaptability, the ability to embrace and respond positively to change
* A robust understanding of business processes and performance levers
* An excellent verbal and written communicator
* Ability to demonstrate leadership of driving new ideas and innovation with a highly collaborative approach across functions and geographies.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with teams and stakeholders across the business at all levels
