Regional SHEQ Manager Based in Liverpool with travel to other locations as required Competitive Salary, Company Car/Car Allowance, Pension, BUPA medical cash plan, Life Assurance, 30 days holiday inclusive on bank holidays (rises with service) & More Olleco are looking for a Regional SHEQ Manager to join their supportive team, within this role you will support our business sites including Coatbridge, Cannock, Wakefield, Newcastle and others to help deliver a comprehensive health, safety and environmental service to the business and ensure compliance with all legislation. You will also establish and maintain systems & processes which ensure the company s performance in relation to H&S, environmental compliance and continuous improvement. To help facilitate the development and maintenance of ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 standards. The role Support the implementation of the Group SHEQ Management Systems for the areas of control Improve and maintain SHEQ Management Systems Identify and ensure compliance with legislation and our management system requirements Ensure regular audits are completed and corrective action taken as and when required Conduct accident investigations and follow up with improvement actions Support SHEQ communications to ensure region is informed of the latest developments Drive SHEQ cultural change within region Ensure new and existing processes will withstand the scrutiny of external auditors Follow up on audits by external bodies Responsible for ensuring all tasks are undertaken in a safe manner and reporting of any near miss incidents, hazards or actual incidents Responsible for highlighting unsafe activities to the colleague the managers in control of those areas Progress process safety improvements including the completion of HAZOP actions and supporting the management of further process changes Deliver on site SHEQ training to all levels of the organisation Support the roll out of Group wide training initiatives Support the effective running of site SHE Committees Liaise with regulators locally, as and when required Key Skills & Experience IOSH Member essential NEBOSH Diploma or Equivalent Environmental systems knowledge Full valid UK driving licence Good computer skills particularly MS, Word and Excel Trained and competent risk assessor Knowledge of all relevant legislative requirements EBOSH General Certificate, Diploma preferred, or working towards Diploma Manual Handling Trainer qualification desired A proven background in giving practical H&S advice ideally within the waste and logistics industries Takes personal ownership of own performance Excellent communication skills; ability to engage at all levels and challenge when necessary Able to work safely at all times Team player, able to support the wider SHEQ Team in delivering Group wide initiatives Benefits we offer Competitive Salary please apply for further details Company car / Car allowance Perkbox scheme for retail discounts Family leave enhanced maternity and paternity pay Wellbeing support free access to our Employee Assistance Programme Cycle to work scheme hire a bike and accessories, saving on tax and national insurance Colleague networks a range of forums and schemes that support social events and the local community Coaching, training and support if you have the right interpersonal skills we ll help with the rest Olleco is a business that does what we say we ll do, and we re looking for people who operate the same way We encourage continuous learning and provide opportunities for you to develop your career - did you know almost 80% of our managers have been promoted internally?
