We are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a Behaviour Mentor at one of our outstanding alternative provision schools in Chesterfield (S41). In this role, you will join a dedicated team committed to enhancing both the education and wellbeing of all pupils, with the potential for a permanent position following a successful trial period.
In this position, you will conduct one-to-one and group sessions aimed at fostering positive behaviour and social skills. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive learning environment, providing essential classroom support for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Speech and Communication Difficulties, ADHD, and severe social anxieties. Your nurturing nature and excellent behaviour management skills will be key in helping students develop the confidence and skills they need to thrive.
The ideal candidate is adaptable and comfortable working in various classroom settings, both indoors and outdoors, and has experience supporting children with SEMH and other SEN challenges. A valid driving licence is required, and training such as Team Teach or an equivalent is desirable.
