Join Our Client's Team as a Sales Manager Position: Sales Manager Location: Hybrid (Based near Scunthorpe, DN17 2BY, with remote working options) Salary: £60,000.00 - £70,000.00 per year Shift: Monday to Friday, Day Shift About Our Client: Our client is a global leader in delivering catalyst handling services to the refining, chemical, petrochemical, and processing industries. To support their ongoing growth, they are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager based in the UK, with expertise in catalyst handling or related fields within the refining or petrochemical industries. You would oversee the region's sales management, including profit and loss, marketing, customer relations, and administration. This pivotal role is integral to expanding the company’s presence. Key Duties: Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with new and existing customers to expand the client base and secure repeat business. Lead sales efforts, including pricing, quoting, resolving issues, closing deals, and evaluating customer requirements. Conduct detailed market analyses to understand competition and demand trends. Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans aligned with regional business objectives. Deliver regular activity and progress reports to senior leadership. Ensure adherence to high standards of quality and safety. Direct the region’s sales efforts, including pricing, quoting, resolving issues, and signing contracts. Provide weekly activity reports to the CEO and senior leadership. Requirements: Proven background in catalyst handling or the refining/petrochemical industries (minimum 1 year required). At least 3 years' experience in a sales management role. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Strong planning, organisational, and negotiation skills. Analytical mindset with a focus on commercial awareness, costing, and margin management. Problem-solving capabilities. Established connections within the European and UK refining/petrochemical sectors. A full driving licence and a willingness to travel as needed.
