Volunteers bring a range of skills and experiences that complement the work we do. It also provides an opportunity for individuals to use existing skills to support our services, develop new skills and gain experience in the health and social care sector, specifically substance misuse treatment field. We also offer volunteers access to some high-quality training as our staff in addition to ongoing support through supervision. West Kent Drug and Alcohol Wellbeing Service have a rewarding opportunity to join our team as a Criminal justice Volunteer to support our Criminal Justice Team in Maidstone. At Change Grow Live you will be working with people to help them change the direction of their life, grow as an individual, and live life to its full potential. As a Criminal Justice Recovery support volunteer, you will be working in close collaboration with Criminal justice Recovery Coordinators and probation service. You will be assisting recovery coordinators in their caseload management, supporting the service user through all aspects of their treatment journey and community order or licence conditions. This can include completing assessments, risk management plans, support in facilitating groups and undertaking one to one work. This is an exciting opportunity which will allow you to gain experience of working within both the substance misuse and the criminal justice fields. You will be part of a supportive team and will receive comprehensive training and guidance to develop within the role.
