We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Engagement Practitioner to join our team at HMP Warren Hill, a Category C prison located in Hollesley.
Hours
Monday to Friday - 7.30am to 5.30pm
Weekends - 8am to 4pm
The full-time role will be 37.5 hours per week, and you would need to work 1 in 4 weekends. We also welcome part-time applications.
Salary
You will receive an annual salary up to £27,195 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As the Patient Engagement Lead, you will be responsible for the improvement and stability of patient engagement activities and patient satisfaction through effective service user engagement and peer-led forums. This includes the planning and delivery of projects/programmes in line with patients' needs and priorities, involving patients (where possible) in project and training delivery.
You will act as a point of contact and respond to patient engagement inquiries from staff, external partners, and patients. Additionally, within this role, you will be responsible for the oversight and management of the health champion peer support model, including the delivery of Health Champion training across the region. You will ensure statutory and organizational requirements are met, that patient engagement activities are conducted frequently across all sites with timely evaluations and feedback/recommendations communicated with patients, staff, and external partners where necessary. Work collaboratively with senior management to assist in establishing patient reviews of new innovations for business.

You will hold GCSE grades C/4 or above in both English and Maths, with experience of working as a peer representative in a criminal justice setting (including health, housing, substance use). You will be required to have face-to-face engagement with patients as well as group facilitation/note-taking when necessary.
