About The Role
Job Purpose
The Sales Director will be responsible for creating, developing, and executing sales, business development, and marketing strategic plans to achieve organisational goals in sales, aimed at developing and expanding the customer base and delivering profitable business. This role includes leading and managing the sales team and supporting the marketing team to secure profitable business in line with the overall organisational strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning: Create, develop, and execute strategic plans to reach sales targets and expand the customer base in line with business objectives, providing a pipeline of opportunities and committed orders.
2. Customer Excellence: Drive customer excellence across the business.
3. Sales Team Direction: Provide direction to the sales team in line with business strategy, leading, motivating, and measuring performance to ensure objectives are achieved.
4. Team Development: Maintain and develop an effective sales team by recruiting and training employees effectively.
5. Hands-On Leadership: Coach and mentor the sales team to improve performance while delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers.
6. Sales Monitoring: Ensure effective sales monitoring is in place, capturing critical data related to conversion targets and market opportunities.
7. Forecasting: Create a mechanism for better forecasting of sales and likely order dates.
8. Collaboration with Commercial Director: Work with the Commercial Director to ensure all tenders, proposals, and agreements are completed on time, meet client briefs, and are commercially competitive.
9. Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing to design and implement the organisation's sales strategy, ensuring the execution of the marketing plan.
10. Market Understanding: Effectively influence the marketing strategy by understanding markets and trends within the industry and vertical sectors.

Required Criteria
1. Excellent leadership and managerial skills
2. Sales experience in modular or temporary accommodation
3. Full drivers license
4. Ability to communicate with all levels of seniority
5. Understanding of bid and tender processes
6. Strong networking and relationship building skills
7. Professional and positive attitude
