Technical Sales Manager - Automotive, Niche Automotive (Global)

We are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Manager (Automotive, Niche Automotive) to drive growth and manage major automotive accounts in the UK, Europe and Globally.
This role requires a strategic, results-driven professional with a strong network in the industry. You’ll be responsible for building long-term customer relationships, expanding sales, and identifying new business opportunities in the automotive and niche automotive sector.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the automotive and niche automotive sector and a deep understanding of customers’ needs within this market. We envisage a 50/50 split of business development and current customer account management and farming.
The successful candidate would be working for a SME company based in Oxfordshire that processes and applies performance-enhancing (patented) coatings and heat shielding technology.

Requirements
1. A qualification gained in an engineering field would be beneficial but not essential.
2. 5+ years of experience in B2B account management, sales, or business development in the automotive sector with proven history of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
3. Strong industry network and proven ability to develop and close large deals.
4. Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in sales forecasting and reporting.
5. Experience in operating through CRM, ERP and MRP software.
6. Organisational and time management skills.
7. Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
8. Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
9. Willingness to travel as and when required.
10. Full UK driving license.
Salary and Benefits
£60-65k basic plus a performance-related bonus scheme and car allowance.
Hybrid role available for the right candidate.
Death in service payment of 3 x annual salary.
Pension contributions matching up to 5%.
25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays, increasing by one day per year to a total of 30 days after five years of service.
