Laindon Medical Group are looking to recruit a permanent advanced nurse practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be an experienced healthcare professional, educated to master’s level and have developed the skills and knowledge to allow them to take on an expanded role and scope of practice caring for patients. Duties will include; Provide care for our patients, from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care. Act as an autonomous practitioner working independently and in conjunction with other health care professionals to assess, diagnose and treat the conditions of patients attending within primary care initiating direct referrals as appropriate. Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers, and colleagues to ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence. Develop new and innovative concepts, models, methods, and practices to deliver new and improved primary care services to meet the needs of the PCN population. About the Candidate The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility in attitude and behaviour. They will be keen to undertake new ways of working and delivering healthcare, committing to under-taking the professional development required to adapt to changing circumstances. Qualifications, skills and experience required: Be a registered nurse, holding a current registration with the NMC. Hold a recognised ANP qualification at master’s level. Hold an independent prescribing qualification and prescribe safe, effective, and appropriate medication. Be able to work with a high degree of autonomy. Be forward-thinking and will strive to develop innovative ideas and new ways of working that address the health needs of the population, while motivating and encouraging others to do the same. Deliver a high standard of patient care, using advanced, autonomous clinical skills and a broad, in-depth, theoretical knowledge base. Assess, diagnose, and treat patients’ conditions, initiating referrals as appropriate. Support members of the multidisciplinary team by providing leadership, education, and training to a range of staff. Be an excellent communicator and collaborator, who looks to embrace opportunities to work and liaise across multi-professional and agency boundaries in the interests of improving patient outcomes. Be consistently compassionate and respectful placing a high value on the dignity of patients, relatives, carers and colleagues. Demonstrate highly developed clinical skills.
