Our exclusive client based in Lytham is currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to work alongside the Finance Manager. The company is going through a period of growth and due to the increase in workload, needs someone to deal with the transactional accounting duties.
Responsibilities include:
* Purchase ledger duties including processing invoices, supplier statement reconciliations, and dealing with queries
* Preparing weekly/monthly payment runs
* Bank reconciliations
* Assisting at month end
* Credit control duties including chasing any overdue debts and dealing with any queries to ensure prompt payment
* Allocating payments and raising credit notes where necessary
* Creating, sending, and following up on invoices
* Any other ad hoc transactional accounting duties
You must have previous accounting experience to be considered for this role, ideally on both the purchase ledger and sales ledger. You will be naturally organised, have strong analytical skills, and be able to work to deadlines. You will also be a confident communicator.
