Job Description
Quality Technologist, Food Manufacturing
Cornwall
£28,000 - £35,000
This Quality Technologist is an excellent opportunity to work in a BRC AA facility for a category leader, but still have lots of day-to-day variety and interest.
If you’re feeling a bit stuck in your current food quality or technical career and wondering what’s next, joining this established food business could be a great move. Working alongside supportive and positive colleagues, it’s a place where you will be able to apply your skills in a wide variety of places.
This successful food manufacturer is the market leader in their category and supplies a huge range of products to almost every retailer, hospitality business, and wholesaler in the UK, meaning you will have good job security.
This is an opportunity for you to add depth to your knowledge around quality standards, codes of practice, and specifications. As the Quality Technologist you will report to the Quality Manager, who has a great reputation of coaching and supporting the team, and more broadly each quarter the company pays for a meal/activity for the site.
While there is a strong food safety culture here, it is also recognised that systems and processes could be more user friendly, and in some cases just more efficient. So, if you have an eye for detail and enjoy improving things, this is a good opportunity to apply those skills.
Experience of working in a fast-paced food manufacturing facility, you’ll need to be a good communicator, organised and have the ability to prioritise a busy workload. Report writing / Specs will be part of the role, so computer skills in Microsoft Office/Excel etc. along with close attention to detail are essential.
This is a rare opportunity to join a business that is perhaps less well known in Cornwall but has a superb story and product behind it.
Apply today or contact Dominic for more details.
