Manufacturing Engineer - Port Glasgow Objective of the position: The Manufacturing Engineer develops, implements, and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. They will interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products, estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Estimates manufacturing labor and cost, determines time standards, edits and maintains reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations. Create/edit production Product Work Instructions and related SOPs. Person required to play an integral role in the transition of new products into sustaining production (NPI) and ongoing sustaining support to include Process Support and Process quality responsibilities.
