Service Engineer
Field-based in North of London/Cambridge (UK Wide when required)
Permanent, Full-time, 37.5 hours

If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our leading water technologies company, where you will play a pivotal role in providing best-in-class quality service, focusing on the Pharmaceutical market, by offering on-site corrective/preventive maintenance for customer's water treatment equipment. Once fully trained, you will also carry out commissioning work and provide after-sales technical and commercial support. You will be required to complete risk assessments, work reports, activity reports, and other documentation. You will be expected to be on the 'On Call Rota' once fully trained.
Some responsibilities of a Service Engineer include:
* Developing and maintaining good working relationships with customers.
* Observing, abiding by, and enforcing the Company's and client's Health & Safety policies.
* Providing on-site corrective/preventative maintenance and after-sales technical and commercial support.
* Carrying out commissioning work.
* Timely completion and submission of risk assessments, work reports, time sheets, and other documentation.
* Timely completion of site tasks and activities as required.
* Proposing and undertaking any relevant training approved by your line manager.
* Gathering site information and compiling site log-books for customers, maintaining and auditing them.
General requirements for the role:
* NVQ or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or similar.
* Experience with the water treatment industry is an advantage but not essential.
* Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical market is desirable.
* A full UK driving licence is required.
* Good communication skills, punctuality, presentation, and a willingness to learn and develop.
* Knowledge and experience of the company products, applications, and markets is desirable.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Passionate about providing a first-class service to our customers.
* Able to handle challenging conversations with customers and find resolutions.
* Strong communication skills both verbally and written, with the versatility to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels.
* Demonstrable experience of building strong working relationships both internally and externally.
* A good level of IT competency.
* Able to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
