Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, well-motivated and flexible Occupational Therapist to join our team at St Benedicts Hospice and Centre for Specialist Palliative Care. This role is based within St Benedicts Hospice in Sunderland. The team consists of an extensive MDT which includes Consultants, Specialist Nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, Nurses, health care assistants, therapy assistant and administrative staff. The team also works closely alongside partner agencies including those from the local and voluntary sector. Main duties of the job This role would involve assessing palliative patients within the Hospice and their own homes who require enhanced intervention and short-term support for their physical and functional health needs to remain at home. The service is committed to providing opportunities for education and training to support the successful candidate within this role.
