Our client is seeking to hire an associate to join their consumer team based in London. Under general direction and with a high level of autonomy, you will use your extensive knowledge and skillset gained through experience to contribute to the strategic business unit and the firm, managing analysts and executing and generating business for the department. You will work on major projects with significant business impact involving cross-functional teams and extensive contact with senior management to provide comprehensive solutions to complex needs.
Responsibilities
1. Assist with the execution of M&A and financing transactions, financial modeling, industry, and comparable company analysis.
2. Produce factual and accurate information for the clients.
3. Assist in the preparation of standard and tailored presentations and pitches.
4. Identify new entrants into the space and target these companies for attention.
5. Provide management support to analysts through training, mentoring, and evaluating their performance potential.
6. Document and support the execution of new financing issues for corporate clients.
7. Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Qualifications, Skills, Experience & Knowledge
1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in investment banking.
2. Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Knowledge of advanced concepts, practices, and procedures of investment banking, tax, and accounting.
5. Knowledge of financial markets and products.
6. Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels.
