We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team in Rochdale
At National Neurological Services, we support people with Acquired Brain Injuries and Neurological conditions in their rehabilitation. We strive to achieve personal goals and endeavour to support individuals in regaining as much independence as possible following their injury or condition. Our ultimate aim is for individuals to be able to return home and enjoy their lives again. Here at Ashbrook Neuro Rehabilitation Centre, we have the capacity to support up to 7 individuals through their slow stream rehabilitation.
You’ll be joining a core staff team consisting of Registered General Nurses, Rehabilitation Coaches, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, a Neurological Consultant, a Neurological Psychologist, and a Registered Manager. Taking part in a multi-disciplinary approach to care, you will become an integral part of achieving the rehabilitation goals of our individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the development of the philosophy, goals, and objectives for the care and nursing practice.
* Assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of care and nursing implementation and delivery.
* Implement action to meet and maintain care and nursing standards.
* Work in cooperation with members of multi-disciplinary health teams to maximise opportunities for therapeutic care.
* Ensure that the people we support’s rights are protected.
* Encourage a model of self-care and Service User rehabilitation.
* Prepare and evaluate Care Plans.
* Evaluate standards of care and nursing competence.
* Maintain a current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC).
* Maintain nursing skills at a current level, and undertake such training and development as may from time to time be required to maintain that currency of practice.
* Comply with NMC requirements for re-validation.
* Lead by example and support colleagues within their role and practices.
* Provide nursing care in accordance with current best practice, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, and relevant regulations under the direction of the Registered Manager.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
* Experience supporting adults with ABI and/or neurological conditions.
* NMC Pin
* Ability to work as part of a team and independently
* The ability to work within a wider multi-disciplinary team
* Good communication skills to support record keeping, report writing, and the multi-disciplinary team
