Job Description: Supply Teacher

Job Duties:
1. Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students in accordance with the curriculum, utilising effective instructional techniques and strategies.
2. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
3. Develop lesson plans and educational activities that promote student engagement, critical thinking, and independent learning.
4. Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, such as assignments, exams, and class participation.
5. Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring the wellbeing and safeguarding of all students.
6. Collaborate with colleagues and parents/guardians to support the education and welfare of students.
7. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities as required.
8. Supervise students during break times and assist with extracurricular activities, as needed.
9. Follow school policies and procedures, including those related to behaviour management and discipline.
Required Qualifications:
10. A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
11. Experience teaching within a primary school setting, specifically in KS1 and KS2.
12. Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
13. Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and behaviour.
14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
15. Good organisational and time management abilities.
Education:
16. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject.
Experience:
17. At least 2 years of experience as a primary school teacher.
18. Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN).
Knowledge and Skills:
19. Comprehensive understanding of primary education principles and pedagogy.
20. Familiarity with PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) requirements.
21. Proficiency in using various teaching resources and technology to enhance learning.
22. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students.
23. Knowledge of early years education and reception curriculum.
Preferred Qualifications:
24. Additional certifications or training related to special educational needs (SEN).
25. Experience in leading extracurricular activities or school-wide initiatives.
Working Conditions:
26. Work in a primary school environment, primarily within classrooms.
27. Full-time contract, with regular working hours during school term times.
28. Potential for occasional extracurricular activities or staff meetings outside of regular hours.
29. Collaboration with colleagues, parents/guardians, and school administrators.
