What you'll be doing;
- Support the delivery of the Street and Park cleansing and maintenance services, ensuring the delivery of customer focused high quality services in line with the council expectations.
- Drive a vehicle up to 7.5tonnes and operate a mechanical broom, training will be provided.
- Collect & sweep up litter and detritus either manually, by driving mechanical broom or controlling pedestrian operated mechanised plant and equipment.
- Removing weeds, wastes and animal deposits and emptying/collecting litter.
- Undertake any daily maintenance and cleansing of any plant and equipment used.
- To be polite and considerate to the public, internal and external customers at all times.
- To ensure that all accidents that occur during shift hours are reported fully to your Foreman/Manager or the police if appropriate and that accident reports are completed before you leave work.
What we're looking for;
- An up-to-date CPC / DIGI card.
- 7.5 tonne licence - essential.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and the general public.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
- Ability to work on your own & within a team.
- A reliable and punctual person.
