Eastlight Community Homes is looking for an influential Head of Finance to oversee our financial activities and enhance financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. In your role as the Finance Department's leader, you will oversee a committed team, implement strong financial regulations, and foster a mindset of responsibility and ongoing enhancement.
In your role as the Head of Finance, you will have a crucial part in overseeing our financial well-being, spearheading efforts to update finance operations, and guaranteeing adherence to financial laws. Your guidance is essential in coordinating financial plans with our organisational goals, guaranteeing continued growth and stability.
Accountabilities:
* Strategic Leadership: Drive the finance transformation agenda, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
* Financial Stewardship: Oversee accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with statutory requirements.
* Audit and Compliance: Lead the external audit process and ensure adherence to accounting standards.
* Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
* Financial Systems and Processes: Optimise finance systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure timely submission of regulatory returns and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
* Qualified Expert: Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent).
* Experienced Leader: Significant experience in financial control and reporting, preferably within the housing or property sector.
* Strategic Thinker: Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, with a proven ability to lead financial operations.
* Communicator & Influencer: Exceptional communication skills, able to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
To demonstrate our commitment to you, we have developed a sector-leading total rewards package:
* £90,000 annual base salary
* Full-time, Permanent
* Group stakeholder pension plan (Eastlight will double up to 5% of the employee’s contribution - Employee 5% + Eastlight 10% = Total 15%)
* Annual wellbeing grant of £200 per annum – Subject to eligibility
* 33 days annual leave plus bank holidays
* Trailblazing family leave (Maternity, Paternity and Adoption – 12 weeks full pay / 6 weeks half pay) – Subject to eligibility
* BUPA healthcare cash plan, life assurance
* Formal qualifications and paid professional membership
* Agile working environment; our Head Office is in Braintree, Essex.
