The Royal Caribbean Group’s (Marine Administration) Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Training & Travel Coordinator reporting to the Manager, Marine Administration.
Position is onsite and based in Weybridge, UK.
Position Summary
The Training & Travel Coordinator reports to the Manager, Marine Administration. The main responsibility for this position is to schedule, coordinate, and maintain the training courses for all shipboard Marine Operations required trainings, along with assisting and coordinating vendor travel, accommodations, and boarding for special projects.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
* Maintains and develops Marine Operations training schedules for all Royal Caribbean Group vessels and serves as the main point of contact for shoreside, shipboard, and all outside training centers.
* Coordinates and requests all air tickets, hotel reservations, training letters, and transportation requests for Marine Officers attending shoreside sponsored trainings.
* Maintain communications with training centers and trainers regarding schedules, payment, participant lists, and certificates.
* Responsible for assisting with the yearly training financial plan and tracking the training budget.
* Responsible for preparing the SEAFORM to compensate Marine Officers that participate in shoreside trainings.
* Supports Safety, Security, and Environment with their shoreside training.
* Analyzes data associated with training, including identifying which officers require specific training, and ensures that trainings are recorded properly by the Marine Administrative Assistants in the appropriate systems.
* Assists with the requests sent by Marine Operations for project vendors’ travel, cabins, and boarding requests.
* Assists in the day-to-day administrative tasks for the Operations and Administrative groups in Marine as assigned by the Manager, Marine Administration.
Qualifications, Knowledge, And Skills
* Excellent working knowledge of personal computers within a Windows environment with e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related printers and equipment.
* Working knowledge of Access, or any other database system application.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of employees and management.
* May be required to travel.
* Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
* Apply good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with various departments within the organization and the ships.
* Apply practical thought process and understanding to carry out communication of training subjects.
* Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
* Ability to apply excellent interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; some working knowledge of Access or other database applications.
