Privately owned, international service business seeks a CFO with extensive multinational experience.
Your new company
Our client is a highly successful, privately-owned business operating in the B to B service sector and in a vast array of countries across the world. With a plan for an exit in the next 2-3 years, there is a demand for an experienced CFO to drive and navigate the business, ensuring sound financial performance and operating as a member of the board.
Your new role
As CFO, you will manage, develop and lead the finance team across the UK and multiple international entities, taking responsibility for all external relationships including Bank, Investors, External Audit and 3rd Party Accountants. You will ensure the business has a robust and effective internal control framework and enable the CEO and SMT to steer the business via sound financial guidance and accurate delivery of management information. You will advise and implement financial modelling to ensure the business is profitable and be able to understand and manage complex funding structures, and drive actions to increase customer profitability.
This is a fundamental role for the business and, as such, will be performing risk management by analysing the organisation's liabilities and investments as well as adopting a hands-on approach to actively supporting business growth. You will decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks and ensuring cash flow is appropriate for the organisation's operations. Improvements need to be made to the preparation of reliable current and forecasting reports.
Most importantly, you will create value, build and drive a high-performing finance function.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with proven experience as a CFO or in another senior finance managerial role with strong communication skills and the ability to communicate finance to non-finance personnel. You will have experience of raising finance from third parties/external investors and have dealt with complex treasury function, including experience of multi-currency transactions and Forex. It is vital that you have successfully operated in multi-entity structures and have experience managing a global business. You will be able to navigate the challenges of a high-growth / scale-up organisation and have in-depth knowledge of corporate finance and risk management practices. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods and the ability to strategise and solve problems are required, as well as strong leadership and organisational skills.
