We are looking for a highly motivated and flexible individual to join our clients Business Development team. With demonstrable commercial acumen, you will be responsible for leading, developing and growing unique and complex business opportunities for the company within the European marketplace. With strong negotiation and influencing skills, you will also be responsible for leading and monitoring performance across various commercial and account management activities. This exciting opportunity is offered on a full-time permanent position.

We are seeking a proactive individual to join in this key role within the Business Development function. There will be a number of responsibilities within this role, including Business Development, analysing Commercial Strategy and Project Management too. Business areas will include commercial printing, industrial printing and additive manufacturing.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
1. To identify and qualify in detail, opportunities for new products and services which will create unique value to the business within the European Marketplace.
2. To independently prepare and present business plans for any identified opportunities within scope. Typically this will range from research into opportunity, through business benefit validation to negotiation of terms with stakeholders and deployment into business processes.
3. To develop and exploit a commercial network within Europe and be recognised as a commercial expert and a key driver of new opportunities.
4. Independently take ownership and regularly monitor business performance to ensure the continued commercial validity of the business within scope.
5. To make recommendations to senior stakeholders for improving commercial performance and lead the implementation of agreed improvements as necessary.
6. Create regular business reports and represent the Business Development team, internally and externally at senior levels, detailing current performance and future perspectives on all business areas within scope.
7. Own the commercial and contractual relationship between the company and any organisation within the family group or external. This may include performance management and dispute resolution to ensure the contractual integrity of the company, its partners and customers.
8. Lead project teams internally and externally to ensure successful delivery against metrics agreed within the business benefit validation process to market the products and services within scope.
9. Take ownership of the New Model / Business Introduction process and commercial relationships for all products and services within scope.
10. To cultivate relationships and networks with relevant stakeholders, family group and operating.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Qualified to Degree level in either Business Management, Marketing, Economics or similar discipline.
2. Proven experience in developing, negotiating and implementing new business opportunities in highly complex environments.
3. Must have a high degree of demonstrable commercial capability.
4. Previous experience of partner/customer account management is desirable.
Skills and Attributes:
1. Must have excellent communication skills with a proven ability to network and build relationships.
2. Proven ability in negotiating, persuading and influencing at a commercial level.
3. Demonstrate excellent project management skills.
4. Must be highly proactive and be able to work with significant initiative.
5. Resilience to be able to manage/develop work in uncertain/volatile environments.
This role offers a competitive salary between £43,000 and £49,000 and includes generous benefits which include profit related bonus, executive medical and private health cover. The role will be a hybrid model of working. As such, it's important that candidates live a commutable distance from the Factory in Telford.
