What you’ll bedoing:
* Functional design and definitionof Electrical Power Systems equipment
Authoring and reviewing technical documentation Managing associated technical risks, assumptions anddependencies Providing advice on electrical power technical aspectsacross a broad range of engineeringdisciplines Engaging with customers and suppliers to providesolutions to complex problems Taking a leading role by guiding more junior members ofthe team through the systems definition process Opportunity to travel to various locations throughoutthe UK, including various BAE, customer and suppliersites
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
* Degree qualified ElectricalEngineering or equivalent Engineering experience
Engineering Chartership required (or significantprogress towards Chartership can bedemonstrated) Significant knowledge of AC and DC electrical powersystems Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Electrical PowerSystems Definition team: Working on the UK’s next-generation SSN design thatincorporates technology from the UK, Australia and the UnitedStates you will be part of the Electrical Power team responsiblefor defining the needs of equipment, defining the system elementsrequired to feed into the submarine design and build process,including design documentation, spatial modelling and buildoutputs.
