Primary Purpose of the Role:
Working as part of a wider applications team providing expertise across a range a project delivery and operational support services.

The role reports to the Director of Applications as a Service

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
8. Working individually and as part of a wider team to implement, test, deploy, and support solutions for leveraging PTC Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
9. Working closely with key customer stakeholders to understand current business process, issues and challenges
10. Following full project lifecycle requirements, develop a solution, perform quality assurance testing, and track progress to meet deadlines for internal projects.
11. Supporting the upgrade and deployment of PLM solutions and modules across the Thales platform.
12. Manage / provide input into small projects (potentially delivered by external parties)
13. Support infrastructure design, system upgrades and customisations, work flow creation, and while working with the Apps team to develop solutions to meet business objectives.
14. Interfacing with both business and other IT functions supporting the development of business and functional requirements, status updates, enhancements, deployments, and go-live support.
15. Implementing solutions within multiple architectural environments including Linux, Windows, Apache, SQL Server and Oracle Database, etc.
16. Developing documentation for software and customisations including user guides, installation guides, and end user work instructions.
17. Learning new technologies and work alongside our experienced Consultants and Project Managers for hands-on learning.
18. Leveraging your creativity to take initiative to propose alternative solutions.

19. PLM Solution expert – likely to have been in a functional consulting capacity
20. Delivery experience - across large/complex Transformation Programmes
21. Broad IT Knowledge – specifically on large ERP/PLM type systems
22. Knowledge/experience of design to implementation methodologies – with experience gained on PLM/ERP implementation projects
23. Technical IT (security, transaction processing, user interface, data management, Operating Systems Services)
24. Understanding of SLA and Service Delivery
25. Good communicator, both written and verbal
26. Logical Analysis
27. Business awareness (Business case, organisation, business process, strategic planning, Business Functions)
28. IT development skills (dba, sql, web)
29. Excellent Word, Excel, VISIO, Powerpoint skills, Office technologies

30. Understanding of general project management process including knowledge of MS Project

Experience:
Essential
32. PLM implementation – Oracle or SAP
33. 5+ years experience administering PTC Windchill PLM.
34. Expertise in Windchill PDMLink 10 & above.
35. Expertise in Windchill upgrades from legacy versions to most recent version.
36. Expertise in Windchill system and business administration.
37. Experience in the following domains: PLM Methodology, BoM Lifecycle, Data Migration, Change Process, CAD, Data Classification, ERP
38. Knowledge and use of Java, JSP, JavaScript, J2EE, and/or XML for Windchill modifications.
39. Experience in Windchill customization
40. Ability to handle multiple activities, including infrastructure design, system upgrades and customisations, work flow creation.
41. In excess of 5 years experience in the IT Industry (preferably within an Engineering Company)
