About the role We are looking for a Finance Operations Manager to manage the cash operations of the Finance department in a pro-active, accurate and efficient manner. As the group continues to grow in size and complexity, there is increased focus on managing liquid funds effectively, and as the Finance Operations Manager you will be responsible for the operational aspects of such arrangements. You will be responsible for the day to day funding of the group’s bank accounts, and ensuring that excess funds are utilised appropriately. Effective forecasting of future cashflows is an important element of the role, requiring you to liaise with teams throughout the group to understand the impact of operational decisions on the group’s liquid funds. You will also oversee the Purchase Ledger function ensuring staff expenses and suppliers are paid in a timely manner, and accounted for accurately in the General Ledger. Responsibilities Manage cash forecasting process for all group bank accounts, identifying when action is required to maintain appropriate liquidity levels Ensure the cash management process is efficient and effective at ensuring that sufficient funds are available to meet commitments, and that excess funds are effectively invested Ensure external supplier payments are approved in line with the Company Authorisation Matrix (CAM), and are paid in a timely manner. Adherence to SOX controls, capturing updates and new controls where necessary Ad-hoc investigations and tasks as requested Provide assistance with Banking Mandates, documentation and housekeeping Continuous improvement of processes Motivate, manage and develop a high performing team Skills & Experience Awareness of developments in the payment strategies industry; experience of implementing changes to such strategies would be an advantage Prior Purchase Ledger experience. Good knowledge of data management and analysis. Knowledge of financial analysis and controls. Experience of Excel Good problem analysis and pro-active resolution skills. Understanding of the group’s customers and products.
