Justteachers is seeking a nurturing and positive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a SEMH School on the outskirts of Norwich. This role is full-time and is on a long term supply basis, starting in April 2025.

This is a nurturing SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school designed to support students with challenges related to their social, emotional, and mental well-being. The schools focus is to create a safe, supportive, and understanding atmosphere where students can thrive academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver tailored 1:1 support, adapting learning activities to meet the students specific needs.
* Foster a positive and encouraging environment to help develop confidence and independence.
* Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to implement personalised learning strategies.
* Assist with classroom activities, ensuring the student remains engaged and supported.
* Support the students emotional and social development, promoting positive behaviour and well-being.
* Provide personal care if required, ensuring the students comfort and dignity.
Key Requirements:
* Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within an SEN/SEMH setting.
* Knowledge and understanding of a range of SEN, including autism, dyslexia, and emotional/behavioral difficulties.
* Two education or school-based references.
* Ability to work effectively with students with varying needs, offering tailored support.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
* Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students in their learning and personal development.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* A Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3) would be advantageous.
