Site Engineer FRC
Reporting to Section Engineer/Sub Agent

Role Responsibility
Key Responsibilities
1. Initially working with Section teams planning and producing sketches and methodologies for relevant plans and procedures for mobilising.
2. Setting up work sites with GF/ Works manager.
3. Working with the subcontractor to ensure the timely preparation of Risk Assessment Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans, Permits, Consents etc for the works and that these are implemented.
4. Day to day work site coordination and planning to ensure the works are carried out safely and efficiently.
5. Ensuring Permit to Dig, Temporary Works and other safety systems are implemented with relevant permits.
6. Liaison with the Section Foreman to ensure the adherence to safe methods of work.
7. Ensuring all temporary works needs are identified sufficiently early and completed in accordance with the relevant procedures.
8. Ensuring all quality checks are carried out in accordance with the ITP's and properly recorded.
9. The management of non-conformance reporting and managing the nonconformances on site until complete.
10. Provide support, assistance, and information to other teams as necessary such as Community Relations, Highways, and Logistics.
FRC:
1. Writing Task Briefing Sheets and RAMS for works related to FRC.
2. Tracking and recording the installation and productivity on site of steelwork and formwork installation.
3. Progressively checking the quality of the Reinforcement installed alongside the quality team and following the relevant ITPs.
4. Completing Quality checksheets for the installation of reinforcement.
5. Completing temporary works checks and pull out tests on Formwork.
6. Completing prepour checks on blinding and permanent works concrete pours. And managing the delivery of concrete to site to ensure concrete pours are carried out.
7. Producing call off sheets for reinforcement orders and material requisitions for materials related to FRC.
8. Keeping an up to date stock list of all materials on site for FRC works and updating weekly with the relevant supervisors on site.
9. Completing daily site diaries to track labour, materials and activities completed each day.
10. Drafting Temporary Works Briefs for designs required for base slab, headwall and pillar installation.
11. Generating MCR/ITP documentation for works related to FRC.
12. Setting out line and level for FRC installation and recording as built checks on reinforcement and formwork.
13. Generating permits to work (Hot works, MEWP permits, Permit to Drill, Permit to Dig) related to FRC works.
Health, Safety & Environment:
1. Ensuring health and safety is given the highest priority in the delivery of the works.
2. Be familiar with, and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.
3. Ensure that the Health Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures are effectively communicated to the workforce and implemented.
4. Work collaboratively with the HS2 team and other contractors, subcontractors works packages to achieve the overall project goals.
Other Responsibilities
1. Update the 4 week programme on Aphex and on the Collaborative Planning Board.
2. Managing the supply chain to ensure that they deliver in an efficient way and in accordance with the Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements.
3. Understands the scope of the works and can identify change.
4. Promoting the pursuit of excellence and continuous improvement, driving innovation, adopting best practice, standard processes and procedures.
5. Ad hoc duties as required by the job including briefings and attendance at the Start of Shift.
The Ideal Candidate
1. Degree or equivalent in civil / Environmental engineering or similar.
2. Prior experience in Civil engineering / Infrastructure projects especially experience in construction of reinforced concrete structures.
3. Relevant CSCS Card.

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
