Our aim is to provide comprehensive care to women by a team of skilled nurses in post anaesthetic care and theatre scrubbing. This will present you with versatile experience and job satisfaction. The main focus will initially be on theatre scrub and then will develop into assisting in the recovery area.
You will be part of the delivery suite team and be involved in the care of the mother and baby supported and directed by the midwifery team.
Main duties of the job
* To provide care to patients in the operating theatre and maternity recovery area
* Assesses care needs and develops, implements, and evaluates programmes of care
* Prepares and assembles theatre equipment and instruments
* Responsible for maintaining asepsis intraoperatively
* Ensures safety of the theatre and recovery environment including stock levels and storage of equipment
* Provides support to students/learners within the unit
