What will you be doing?
Join our Pipeline Group (PG) team, supporting Subsea7's global pipelay projects. Our engineers are experts in solving complex engineering problems and handling critical subjects in business improvement or projects.
We are looking for a Principal Project Engineer on a full-time, permanent basis located at either our Sutton, London or Aberdeen offices to work with a diverse team, coordinating pipeline reel lay installation methods for global projects. Support the installation engineering team's daily operations and provide regular reports on project activities, technical matters, and resource management.
This will be a varied role but some of the main responsibilities will be:
* Work in a team of method engineers from project initiation to offshore completion. Those in more senior positions may oversee a team or project.
* Serve as a technical reference for pipeline installation and assist in subcontractor selection.
* Develop installation method statements and procedures.
* Support procurement activities and subcontract follow-up.
* Conduct installation rigging calculations and design.
* Assist the Tendering department with feasibility studies, method statements, manhour estimates, schedule inputs, and costing.
* Oversee installation aid procurement, fabrication, and testing.
* Follow project scope offshore on installation vessels.
What experience would we like you to have?

* Degree in Engineering/Marine/Naval/Offshore Technology, Civil, Mechanical, or equivalent.
* Relevant project engineering experience, primarily in the offshore energy industry.
* Knowledge of offshore pipeline installation methods (Reel Lay, J-Lay, S-Lay).
* Effective communicator, adept at both team collaboration and solo tasks.
