The company designs and manufactures a range of high-precision, electro-mechanical instrumentation for use in the oil and gas industry. The purpose of this role is to mechanically and electronically assemble and test the high-tech instruments and systems to the required industry standards.
Responsibilities:
* Ability to interpret circuit and wiring diagrams accurately.
* Mechanical assembly and electrical wiring of electro-mechanical instrumentation.
* Environmental testing of instruments and systems.
* Electronic troubleshooting to component level, including hand assembling individual components on both surface mount and through hole PCBs, using high and very high temperature solder.
* Repair, maintenance, and test of client equipment, as required.
* Good maintenance and appropriate storage of test equipment to ensure that all is fully functional when required.
* Good housekeeping at all times.
* Other duties may be included in this role, but which will be consistent with the role.
* Operate in accordance with Guardian procedures and processes at all times.
* Comply with all HS&E requirements.
Health and Safety:
* High Voltage power supplies used on occasions.
* IPA and CoSHH items to be used as instructed in accordance with CoSHH requirements.
* PPE requirements (Safety footwear, goggles, gloves, ear protection) – all provided.
