Learning Support Assistant | Coventry CV5 | £95 - £105 per day | Long-Term to Permanent | Immediate Start We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a specialised college in Coventry. You'll be working with students aged 16-25 who have a variety of complex needs, including Autism, physical disabilities, and multiple learning difficulties. This role plays a key part in fostering an inclusive, supportive environment where students can grow both academically and personally. Main Duties: Provide personalised support to help students develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Assist with daily activities, ensuring a safe and encouraging space for all students. Work alongside teachers and support staff to implement tailored education plans (IEPs). Assist in managing behaviour using positive reinforcement strategies. Support students in building independence and self-confidence through structured activities. What We're Looking For: Experience working with individuals with special educational needs, ideally in an educational setting. A strong passion for helping young people and a commitment to their growth and well-being. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families. A flexible, solution-focused mindset with the ability to adapt to each student's unique needs. Current safeguarding training is a bonus. Requirements: You must have the right to work in the UK. An enhanced DBS certificate (child and adult barred list) registered on the online update service, or be willing to apply for one. Two professional references covering the last two years.
