What skills and experience we're looking for
We want to recruit an enthusiastic and confident Faculty Assistant to join our team. The role involves covering lessons for short term teacher absences across all subject areas. The role also provides in and out of class support to students as well as providing administrative support for teachers in the Maths faculty.
Candidates must be literate, numerate and a competent user of IT, with the skill to support students across all age groups in secondary education. We offer a comprehensive training package including an induction programme. We welcome and support applications from those interested in looking to start a career in teaching.
What the school offers its staff
Experience in this area isn’t necessary but a keenness to develop your skills and knowledge of working with young people is essential. A full induction package, ongoing training and development will be provided. The school is extremely supportive of staff considering progressing into teaching and can actively guide people into teacher training.

You would be expected to work Monday to Friday, 8.40am to 3.10pm including an unpaid 30 minute break. There may be some flexibility about working less days. There are 5 teacher INSET days that you would not be expected to attend. The post is term time only.
