We are seeking a seasoned Senior Systems Developer to lead the transition from our legacy Supporter System (SUS), hosted on Advanced CARE NG, to Microsoft Dynamics CRM. This pivotal role involves not only maintaining and enhancing our current systems but also supporting the migration to a modern CRM platform. Proficiency in the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate, is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Legacy System Management: Maintain and enhance the existing SUS platform, ensuring its stability and performance during the transition phase.
Data Management: Develop and manage SQL databases, including writing and optimizing T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and ensuring data integrity across various schemas.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance of data corrections and system updates. Perform peer reviews and collaborate closely with team members to uphold high standards.
Migration Planning and Execution: In partnership with our Data Integration team, plan and execute the migration plan from SUS to Microsoft Dynamics CRM, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Power Platform Development: Design and implement solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate to streamline business processes and enhance system functionality.
Collaboration and Mentorship: Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and stakeholders.
Version Control and DevOps: Implement and manage version control systems, preferably using Git and Visual Studio Code. Establish robust CI/CD pipelines to facilitate seamless development and deployment processes.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience
Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). Strong understanding of database schemas and stored procedures.
Power Platform Expertise: Demonstrable experience in developing applications using Microsoft Power Apps and automating workflows with Power Automate.Programming Knowledge: Proficiency in JavaScript and C#, with a track record of developing and deploying custom solutions.
Version Control Systems: Hands-on experience with version control tools, particularly Git, and familiarity with Visual Studio Code.
Quality Assurance: Strong background in testing methodologies, including peer reviews, unit testing, and system integration testing.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
Dynamics CRM Experience: Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, including customisation and integration.
Not-For-Profit Sector Insight: Understanding of the unique challenges and requirements within the NFP sector, particularly related to supporter engagement and fundraising.
Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development practices and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
