What you'll do
Reporting to a Principal Engineer, your role will be to facilitate CCTV surveys and identify sewers and assets that need renovation.
Your main tasks will be to:
* Produce plans and tables of works for CCTV surveys.
* Undertake walkover surveys and on-site investigations.
* Commission surveys for sewerage assets.
* Review CCTV and make recommendations for sewer rehabilitation schemes.
* Produce tables of works for sewer rehabilitation.
* Help with the short-term flow survey contract.
With the right experience, the opportunity to lead infiltration investigations and enabling projects should become available.
You will also work on specific engineering tasks under the direction of a supervising engineer; for example, assisting with high-level investigations into flooding, pollution, and other projects.
What you'll need
* Computer literate, organised, and able to prioritise workloads to meet targets.
* Good communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders and coordinate external contractors.
* A basic knowledge of GIS with previous experience in the water and sewerage industry would be an advantage but is not essential, as we provide training.
* A strong bias towards science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) subjects would be beneficial.
