I am working with a local client that is currently going from strength to strength, due to the growth across the company we are working together to appoint a experienced Credit Risk Manager.
Responsible for those quotes that pose higher risk and value, you will work with a small team of credit analysts overseeing the credit risk assessment process, developing risk management strategies, and ensuring the company's credit policies and procedures are adhered to.
This role requires a keen understanding of credit risk principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Daily Duties:
9. Conduct thorough credit risk assessments of new and existing clients.
10. Analyse financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to evaluate credit worthiness.
11. Develop and maintain credit risk models and scoring systems.
12. Develop, implement, and update credit risk policies and procedures.
13. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
14. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of credit risk management strategies.
15. Monitor the credit risk exposure of the company’s Portfolios
16. Identify, measure, and manage credit risk concentrations.
17. Recommend actions to mitigate credit risks and improve portfolio quality.
18. Monitor credit Insurance positions to ensure cover is kept relevant.
19. Credit Risk reports / assessments
20. Presentation of findings to senior management / stakeholders
21. Lead and mentor a team of credit analysts and risk management professionals.
22. Provide training and development to enhance the team’s skills and knowledge.
23. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and risk awareness
Desirable experience:
24. Previous experience within a similar credit risk role
25. Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to risk management
26. Experience with Credit systems (Experian)
27. Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
28. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
29. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
30. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
