Commercial Litigation Solicitor / Associate
The Role
We are seeking an ambitious and talented commercial litigator to join a busy and expanding commercial litigation team at a leading law firm. This role is ideal for candidates with around 3-6 years’ PQE, although exceptional candidates with different levels of PQE will also be considered. Experience in a City firm or a leading national or regional practice is preferred.
The position is based in Surrey, with the option for flexible hybrid working. Most team members spend 2-3 days per week in the office. Both full-time and part-time candidates are welcome to apply.
The Commercial Litigation Team
This team consists of 5 partners and 9 other lawyers, making it one of the largest contentious law practices in the South East outside London. The firm is recognized in the top tiers of Chambers and Legal 500 and as a National Leading Practice in Chambers.
The team handles a wide range of contentious work for diverse clients, including individuals, owner-managed businesses, and household name PLCs. A significant portion of the work is international, involving close collaboration with law firms in other jurisdictions. The team manages complex High Court litigation and international arbitration and provides strategic advice on claims avoidance and risk management.
Development and Support
The firm is committed to investing in its team, offering first-class support and learning and development opportunities. Several solicitor advocates, members of CiArb, and qualified mediators are part of the team. The successful candidate will work closely with partners, taking responsibility for progressing cases and collaborating within larger teams.

Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for candidates with drive and enthusiasm for a broad range of commercial dispute resolution work. Strong experience in commercial contract disputes and a keen interest in business development are highly desirable. The ideal candidate will:
