Mechanical Design Engineer

My client based in Bradford is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. They specialise in the design and manufacture of water heating equipment.
The Design Engineer is expected to have sufficient technical knowledge and awareness of details to be able to recognize when technical problems are developing in the various disciplines, and to initiate appropriate corrective actions.
On a large project the Technical Director may delegate certain project management responsibilities to the Project Engineer, including day-to-day interaction with the Client’s designated representative as well as coordination of all internal activities.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Prepare designs, drawings, plans and specifications for projects, engineered systems, technical equipment or components.
Responsible for planning, conducting and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects.
Accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects.
Regular contact with assigned project Clients.
Participating in Client/contractor meetings and resolving Client/engineering and management project issues.
Reviews and monitors project progress to assure quality and adherence to requirements of contract documents.
Responsible for control of work-in-progress.
Issue Production documentation and drawings to production for manufacture.
Perform other assigned duties as deemed necessary by the Technical Director Requirements and skills:
Mechanical Engineering Degree
HVAC knowledge preferable
Pressure vessel knowledge preferable.
Proven expertise in AutoCAD, Inventor and Vault.
Revit experience (Desirable)
Attention to detail.
Strong organisational and communication skills. Working hours
37.5 hours per week
Flexible start/finish times
Up to 2 days working from home
25 days holiday plus public holidays.
1 Flexible day holiday per month in lieu of working overtime
