Morgan Stanley is looking for an Infrastructure Security Engineer to join the Endpoint Security Team to implement the Firm's Cybersecurity Strategy by architecting, engineering, deploying, and operating technical security controls and capabilities for the Enterprise.
The Endpoint Security Team designs, engineers, and operates solutions that protect Desktops, Laptops, Servers, and Cloud resources from malicious internal and external threats by providing additional preventative, detective, and hardening controls and by enabling real-time endpoint detection and response capabilities. This role presents an opportunity to join a growing team implementing key security controls for the firm.
This is an infrastructure Security Engineer position at the VP level, responsible for providing specialist cyber expertise and creating solutions that protect the organization's systems and networks against actual and potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
What You’ll Do
1. You will be part of a Global cross-disciplined Agile Team working towards DevOps practices within the firm's Endpoint Security Team.
2. You will have strong Windows Infrastructure/Security knowledge and experience working in enterprise on-prem and cloud environments.
3. You will have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent development, communication, and organizational skills.
4. You will be responsible for continuously improving the quality of our technology solutions through peer review, retrospectives, and refactoring as required.
These Skills Will Help You Succeed In This Role
1. Hands-on Enterprise information technology experience.
2. Strong knowledge of Windows Endpoint Internals and Automation in environments of 50,000+ Endpoints.
3. Experience in Design/Engineering/Architecting new solutions from Proof of Concept to Production.
4. Ability to troubleshoot complex Windows environments.
5. Competency with any scripting language such as PowerShell, Python, etc.
6. Interest in learning/working with cybersecurity technologies.
7. Effective communication skills to clearly present projects, strategies, and solutions.
8. Experience in delivering a project under pressure and tight deadlines.
9. Ability to manage high severity incidents under pressure.
Even Better If You Have
1. Experience with Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection/Defender for Endpoint and the latest Microsoft E5 security product set.
2. Experience with Disk Encryption and Hardening Operating Systems.
3. Experience with Defender for Cloud Apps.
4. Experience with Splunk, SCCM/Intune.
5. Experience working in a DevOps/SRE aligned team.
6. Effective troubleshooting skills across hardware, OS, network, and storage.
7. Experience of platform design, build, and deployment, with a focus on continual service improvement.
8. Experience of working in an Agile environment.
9. Experience of Unix and MacOS sysadmin is a benefit.
