Where Will You Be Working?
BSS, a subsidiary of Travis Perkins Group, is looking for a talented Sales Assistant to join our Cambridge branch. The branch is already staffed with a team of 11 colleagues, with a small team of 3 managing our sales desk.
What Will You Be Doing?
1. You’ll work within the branch sales team, dealing directly with customers to maximise sales at every opportunity.
2. Work to expand our customer base by helping to identify and develop new accounts.
3. Handle customer orders and enquiries by phone and email on a frequent basis.
4. Build friendly relationships with regular customers by providing great customer service to encourage repeat business.
5. Communicate with the team and suppliers to ensure a smooth transaction for the customer from start to finish, ensuring their order is delivered on time and in full.
6. Be involved in face-to-face customer service on the trade counter.
Does This Sound Like You?
Ideally, you will have previous experience in a similar sales role with great customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of customers and colleagues. You will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and organised, with good numerical and computer skills. Product knowledge is key to the role but full product training will be provided.
