About you...
The Consultant in Public Health (Public Health Programmes and Services) will lead the development, integration and delivery of Bracknell Forest Council's public health duties across the organisation and wider health and wellbeing system. This will include providing expert advice to elected members and senior leaders, steering strategy development and delivery. You will also be advocating for evidence-based commissioning within the council, NHS and ICS and leading pan Berkshire and East Berkshire joint Public Health commissioning programmes.
The role also involves inspiring and motivating the public health workforce, managing the public health grant and ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and partnership working. Additionally, you will participate in public health emergency response when needed.

Key responsibilities...
* Lead the development, integration and implementation of the council’s public health responsibilities across the organisation and the broader health and wellbeing system.
* Actively participate as a member of cross-council and system-wide strategic leadership boards and groups.
* Serve as the council’s lead and primary advisor on public health, working alongside the Director of Public Health to provide expert guidance to elected members and the Corporate Management Team.
* Drive strategy development and implementation across the wider system, representing the Health and Wellbeing Board and other Health and Care System Boards.
