Environmental Health Officer
We are looking for skilled officers who are competent, enthusiastic, and highly motivated to fill the below posts within our Environmental Protection Team.
Your duties will include investigation and response to complaints in relation to allegations of statutory nuisance, assessing and approving s.61 applications, permitting, and responding to licensing consultations.
You must have a working knowledge and understanding of the nuisance provisions of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, knowledge of licensing legislation, and excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
The ability to travel around the Borough is essential.
Candidate Profile
You will hold a degree or a diploma in Environmental Health or a related subject or have significant experience in environmental health food and safety regulation and be able to meet the competencies for authorised Lead Food Officers in accordance with the Food Law Code of Practice.
