Responsibilities Cloud Solution Architect (Hospitality SaaS) Oracle is the global Information technology leader offering a comprehensive portfolio of cloud services. With the rapid adoption of Oracle Cloud Hospitality SaaS workloads, we are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect who has a good foundational cloud knowledge covering Cloud infrastructure, Network, Security and Applications who can dive deep cloud workloads and work closely with customers and partners migrating their workload to cloud. You will need to leverage Oracle Cloud solutions and work alongside peers architecting and documenting solutions that cover connectivity, security, and data processing needs. Job summary: The Cloud Solution Architect is responsible for undertaking solution designs on behalf of Oracle customers who are looking to migrate to Oracle Hospitality cloud SaaS Maintains an awareness of the topology and workloads within the customer environment and is highly technically competent with good working knowledge of Cloud Networks, Security, and Application architectures. Conducts/orchestrates the technical teams/skills required to ensure our technology is driving customer business outcomes and sustainable usage/growth Technical due diligence to achieve the “Technical Win” Monitors the Customer Adoption Health (looking at usage and impact on business KPIs) Drives value realization along the engagement lifecycle Responsible for Renewal/Consumption Growth Role and Responsibilities The position will focus on supporting the Cloud migration process of customers looking to move to Oracle cloud with multi-regional or complex deployment requirements. Architects will be required to work closely with multiple teams - Oracle Cloud (OCI/GBUCS/CFS), Application/Management & Support (AMS) & the customer, all of whom are required to work closely together to ensure the successful delivery of SaaS product. Architected Designs are built around Oracle Public Cloud I/P/SaaS products including connectivity models, intercloud connectivity, identity(federation), approved security patterns to meet Application performance and interface/data migration/export requirements. The creation and maintenance of accurate client-facing & internal 'as-built' documentation which details the final solution design. Taking a leading role in ensuring Architected solutions satisfy the requirements of both the client and Oracle, you will be required to liaise with both parties and in cases where non-standard patterns are not able to meet the requirements of the client, engage with other Oracle Cloud Architects/Engineers across multiple disciplines to solution and implement an agreed solution. Assists teams, or allocates resources, for responses to RFXs and technical requirements documents Presents Oracle's technology and infrastructure demonstrating deep familiarity with the company's infrastructure, security, and integration capabilities. Leads, or pulls in the right resources, for the solution building preparation and presentation of customer-driven demos to diverse audiences, representing the capabilities of the Oracle Cloud Platform. Help Customers achieve measurable benefits and ensuring success using Oracle Cloud. Skills and Profile Bachelor’s degree in technical or related field. At least 6-10 years of solid hands-on Technical and/or Pre-sales experience Experience/Certification in cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP) highly regarded Broad technical experience of Oracle Cloud (or equivalent) solutions along with high levels of experience in implementing and accompanying customers with the Cloud adoption process. The role will primarily focus on cloud but as/when it meets customer needs can also include hybrid premises or multi-cloud designs. Clearly able to articulate the Cloud offerings in the market and with the ability to discuss architectures to handle processing & data requirements. Fluent in current Oracle PaaS and IaaS products and experienced in designing simple through to complex and large-scale cloud projects Expertise and hands-on experience in Oracle cloud PaaS and IaaS related technologies Excellent communication and presentation skills for a group with high degree of comfort speaking across all levels of management (e.g. IT management, Architects, administrators and executives). This role reports to the Senior Director of Cloud Solution Engineering, Oracle Hospitality Detailed Description and Job Requirements A Cloud Solution Architect is responsible for converting the technical requirements of a project into the architecture and design that will guide the final product. Cloud Solution Architects are also responsible for bridging the gaps between complex business problems and solutions in the cloud and are also required to work closely with other technical domains to ensure that proposed designs meet both the requirements of the client and also Oracle. Cloud Solution Architects are engaged for initial technical design input for larger or Enterprise deals during the sales process for customers who are looking to migrate their premise-based or legacy hosted cloud models over to a full SaaS deployment. The Architect will then be required to undertake the feasibility of the client locations, the type of connectivity methods for premise or multi-cloud network, Security considerations, and Data Integration points and work through the migration process to ensure that the Solution delivered is consistent with the original client requirements. A Cloud Architect will need the following key traits: Cloud Strategy: Cloud Architects will need to be able to identify fit-for-purpose technologies which are available for use within the OCI cloud framework and for use with hospitality SaaS products. Planning: As an outcome of the development of a solution development process, the Cloud Architect shall be able to work closely with the project management team during the project commencement and identify any roadblocks and complexities. Communication: Ability to understand and be able to communicate complex solutions in a simple and concise way. Detail-Oriented: A Cloud Architect must be able to both understand and communicate the business requirements, functionality, and maintenance requirements. Collaborative: As the center of the development process, a Cloud Architect must be able to lead and influence stakeholders within the organization.
